Objectives of IQAC

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) aims to institutionalize quality assurance strategies and processes to ensure the continuous improvement of academic and administrative performance.

The key objectives of IQAC are:

To Develop a Quality System: Establish a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the institution.

To Promote Academic Excellence: Enhance the quality of teaching, learning, and research by implementing best practices and innovative methodologies.

To Foster a Learner-Centric Environment: Create a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation, enabling the adoption of knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning processes.

To Ensure Stakeholder Engagement: Actively involve all stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, employers, and the community, in the quality enhancement process.

To Institutionalize Best Practices: Identify, share, and institutionalize best practices in various academic and administrative activities.

To Facilitate Quality Culture: Develop and maintain a quality culture within the institution, encouraging a mindset of continuous improvement and excellence.

To Establish Internal Quality Monitoring: Develop and apply quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.

To Conduct Periodic Reviews: Organize periodic workshops, seminars, and conferences on quality-related themes and promote quality circles.

To Ensure Compliance with Standards: Ensure that the institution complies with the standards and guidelines set by regulatory bodies and accreditation agencies.

To Collect and Analyze Feedback: Gather feedback from all stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes and make informed decisions based on this feedback.

To Prepare Annual Reports: Document the various quality enhancement activities of the institution and prepare an Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to be submitted to accreditation bodies as required.

To Encourage Research and Development: Promote research culture and scientific temperament among students and faculty, and facilitate the creation of a conducive environment for research and innovation.

To Enhance Infrastructure: Ensure the adequacy, maintenance, and proper allocation of support structure and services to foster a good learning environment.

To Promote Community Engagement: Encourage community engagement and social responsibility among students and staff through various outreach programs and initiatives.

The Director/Co-Ordinator of IQAC at Shah Satnam Ji Boys College, Sirsa, Dr. Anil has also worked as a head of department Journalism & Mass Communication. He has over 16 years of teaching experience. He has conducted research in Advertising, PR & New Media and his work has been published in international and national journals.

Functions of IQAC

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of education in colleges. Here are some of the most important functions of the IQAC of SSJBC:

3. Curriculum Development

  • Ensure that the curriculum is up-to-date, relevant, and meets the standards of academic excellence.
  • Encourage faculty to adopt innovative teaching methods and integrate modern technology into the curriculum.

4. Faculty Development

  • Organize training programs, workshops, and seminars to enhance faculty skills and encourage professional development.

1. Faculty Development Programs, Workshops and Training:

·         Organize regular workshops, seminars, and webinars for faculty development, focusing on modern teaching methods, research skills, and technology integration.

2. Encouragement for Research and Innovation:

·         Facilitate faculty participation in research conferences, provide resources for research publications, and promote inter-departmental collaborations to enhance academic research output.

·         E-Learning and Blended Learning: Promote the use of online platforms and tools for teaching, such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-books, and online lectures. Integrate a blended learning approach where traditional teaching is supplemented with online modules.
